  Love the pastries and cakes in the Bakehouse. The service is cheerful and good and Wallaroo is a lovely place to be.

  Being on the Yorke Peninsula, we had high hopes of finding a Cornish pasty that was actually based on a true Cornish recipe - diced meat, potato, turnip and onion with a good peppery flavour but the so called Cornish pasty from this bakery had other assorted vegetables and was bland and warm - like the tea and coffee. If the pasties are a fail at a bakery, we don't usually bother trying other items.

  Best bakery on the Yorke Peninsula! Generous size servings from the pastries to the cakes. I enjoyed a pasty and a kitchener bun filled with real cream. Glad we visited and will be again next time we're in Wallaroo.

  Good pastries. I'm amazed they're closed on public holidays when tourists abound. Also closed every Sunday when 'regular' people are looking for something quick and easy for brunch/lunch.
